Got this guy with the TRU one day sale price match at Walmart for 10.49! Wanted to give him fingers like
Jin Saotome's custom.

I used two mini Neo Shifters, the little pilot guys that come with the full model. I used their waists/legs for the fingers since the thighs are on ball joints and the knees are regular joints, the fingers I made from them have a lot of articulation. I removed the feet and cut off the ball joint for them and cut styrene sheets into triangles to form the finger tips and glued them to to the lower legs. The fingers can be folded out of sight and I think it makes the robot mode look awesome.
I still need to shave off the pegs from the neoshifters that I poked through the shovel scoop and repaint it. I'll update my post with more pictures when I get around to that.

I also shaved off some plastic from the corners of the shovel/scoop teeth so that they can bend in, as you can see in this picture of his right hand.


Lots of finger articulation. The fingers can spread apart, and bend at two joints. One finger is extended, the other is curled in.

And here we have the fingers tucked out of the way for when Demolisher goes into excavator mode.

It's an improvement but how about using some other neo shifter parts to give him a rotating wrist? Then it won't look like his hands are on backwards. A paint job with lots of dirt wouldn't go amiss either!
