Heya team,
Well, it has been a busy Christmas/New Years, and I've been putzing with a few little projects.
Recently a good friend of mine was cleaning out his basement and he found a Transformer he was not familiar with, so he gave it to me. It was a Beast Machines Jetstorm. I did not have any experience with Beast Machines, and I had always thought the toys were kind of goofy looking, but I added the fig to my collection. There was something very familiar about the figure to me, and I decided that it's bird like design (especially the head) favored Laserbeak a bit. I tracked another Jetstorm down on Ebay for like $4 and then re-painted him into some Laserbeak colors...I modded the "jetpacks" with jet nozzles, vertical stabalizers and laser cannons as a nod to the G1 fig. we all love. Nothing drastic here, but he looks nice parked next to Jetstorm.

Huh...now THAT is an interesting redeco. If you'll pardon my ignorance, where did you get the jet nozzles?

I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and say they're off a seeker, and could it be the guns are from a G1 Lazerbeak himself?

I do like that little modification you did there though. Looks VERY clean and I missed it until the last pic.

Robot mode?

Yes the jet nozzles are from a junk G1 seeker body, the barrels of the lasers themselves are just parts of some missiles I had lying around, and the vertical fins are leftover parts from some model kit...Robot bode will come after I get him some new hands that I have in mind from a figure I spotted at Toys-R-Us.
