ways to melt plastic without sautering iron

I just made a show accurate sword for my universe dinobot out of lego but the handle is too slim for the hand. Can anyone tell me how to melt plastic without a sautering iron so i can finish it

You could try holding the part above a candle. I'd start three or four inches above the flame, and roll the part to make sure it heats evenly. Be careful though, as you will set the piece on fire if it gets too close for too long!

Heat a blade in a flame and trim or re mold.

wait, if you melt plastic, doesn't it give off toxic fumes or some kind of bad smell or smoke?

If you're in a ventilated room and only melting small parts you'll be fine.
