Nemesis Heffer

A quick project I tossed together over the last few days for the Art Contest at this year's Dairycon (in two days)... I stopped by Michael's (a craft store) a few days ago, found a cheap set of acrylic Testor's model paints, some sculpting clay, and got to work...

See, I thought that creating a "Nemesis Heffer" based off the Pipes figure w/ a reversed color scheme would be a neat concept/custom (especially seeing as they're making a "Convoy" out of a hybrid Huffer/Pipes mold this year).

Sorry about the quality of the pictures, but I think these early WIP below get the point across...

Horns have been created out of clay, baked, and have taken a quick coat of paint... I'll show those later! -I've also done a few touch-ups and another coat of silver to the windshield since taking these pictures...

For those of you who don't know who "Heffer" is, he's a past Dairycon exclusive (and current mascot)... Check out his bio here: http://www.freewebs.com/dairylandtransfans/2006fig.html

Here's an image of the completed figure on display at the Dairycon Art contest.

Unfortunately, I did not place this year (my previous piece, Hilltopper/Kitty Truck scored 3rd place, and he wasn't even finished yet!), although the Staffers of the event *LOVED* him!

And compared to the original Pipes figure (well, the Encore one I got to replace my original Pipes I used to make him)!

Yup, the base figure for him was an old, worn G1 Pipes figure. (Another reason for the "Nemesis" moniker, as the original Dairycon Heffer was made from a Huffer.)
