This is one of my favorite figures. I liked the comic even though Prime had no parts in it:(

So I took the knight morpher commander, add a ball joint to the neck, 4 leds, and "steam" hoses with new stacks. I repainted him completely with enamels. I want to capture the look of the comic with my own little "dirty" style to it.

The hoses need to go, they're just distracting and weird looking.

The rest of him, however, even better than what was actually produced. The original color scheme is just terrible, and you've knocked this one out of the park.

Can you tell me how you really feel! hahaah... The hoses are funny. I have found those to be love it or hate it additions to this. I captured what I was going for with them.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Just been having another look at this and I really love the paint job!

Two questions:

1) How did you do the lighter corners on the blue parts? Is it a lighter blue or very thin brush of white?

2) How did you do the dirt effect? Was it a slosh of thin black blotted off with absorbent cloth or a thick black coat wiped off?

tHANKS MAN!!!

he was ALL dry brushed... flat black base, then really dark red/blue..then just did about 7-10 layers of dry brushing and went a little lighter each time:)!

hope this helps..

That's the only time I've seen colours over black look realistically dirty. Well done!
