Hello guys!

My name is Joey Santana, I am a brazilian collector and a newby around here.
This is my first post here and I'd like to show you guys my very first custom I've made of my favorite character ever: Shockwave. :CON:

I'm a G1 Classic series enthusiast and to be honest Classics/Universe series is the only line I'm collecting lately and although they made a good selection of our fave bots and cons
It's a shame Hasbro didn't show any interest on rendering a proper homage for the old Shocky, so I decided joining the club of those who made justice with their own creative hands....lol

Of course I used two of the both excellent molds Shockblast and Sixshot.

First thing I did was disassembling the both molds and separating all of the dark color parts and assembling 'em back with the other dark pieces from one mold to another.(All the light color pieces went to my friend which helped me with the custom).

Second thing was removing those weird-looking arms and replacing 'em with customized Macross Valkyrie arms with the left hand substituted with a custom made cannon.

As final touch I glued a soft touch black sticker with a reprolabel insignia over it on the left shoulder in order to hide that weird-green paintjob and make it more cool.
I didn't use paint because I prefer the original plastic aspect instead of realistic paintjobs effects and stuff.
I used a VCR cable and plug to create the black hose.

Well...the robot mode is already finished but the alt mode is not, so I'll post new pics as soon as I get it done (I'm still waiting for a package to arrive to get it finished)

Well enough talking here, hope u guys like it.

Okay, these are the latest pics of the finished alt mode.
I used a G1 SW fake customized gun barrel and made an adaptation to connect it to the arm.

The future Holwitzer mode proves to me that new Shockwaves should generally be made from any Galvatron, if possible. :D

Well, actually I'm already thinking of making a decent futuristic Holwitzer-like mode Galvatron by using those oversized fakes from kotoys.com, But it will take time untill I find the right parts to get it completed.

I do like Classics/Henkei Galvatron, but the size of the toy doesn't make any justice to the original character.
