Custom RoTF Leader Optimus Prime

My custom leader Prime. I didn't do a total overhaul like several other customizers do, but I did take special care in detail, right down to the pinstriped flames. I'm hoping to swap out the hands with '07 Prime's hands later on, just like other customizers have done. The custom Ion Blaster is inspired directly by mirasoltwins of YouTube's rifle, special thanks to them for that.

I did my best to make this look as screen accurate as possible by comparing with screenshots from both films as reference. The pinstriped flames were done with a Sharpie paint pen. I did the paint job for the figure itself by using Testors and Model Master paints, and after it was good and dry, I coated it at least twice with clear gloss sealant. The paint holds up well even through transformation, though I don't convert him often to lessen the chances of it scratching.

Enjoy the figure, comments and critique are welcome! :D

Yea, definitely better than the original! Also, have to congratulate you on customizing it...Much of an artist as I am I can't bear to possibly do anything to my figures, XD. I was soo nervous on the one kitbash I did, lol.

I never noticed the silver outlining on the flames before. :O

The rifle's looking good too. :)

Why thanks Ryu! ^_^ Custom figures are hard work, but it pays off to see the finished product. :) On the flames, yep. If you look closely at stills and parts of the movies, you'll see the pinstripes on the flames, such as when he fights Bonecrusher, look at his arm really closely when he brings out his sword while paused and you should see them. They're really thin and hard to make out though, while they are silver, they have a blueish tint to them, making them sort of blend with the flames.

Again, thanks for commenting. :D
