I have to be honest... the silver just doesn't look good against the pink. It might work for ladies shoes, but not an action figure. Arcee always looks better with white, and the silver just stands out too much.

The combination of the two colors, just pink and silver...just kinda bland and make her look less and less wow and more "eh".

Arcee's one of those figures we've clamored for for years, and changing her like this just doesn't work. She needs her pink and white color scheme for it to really work.

Plus the silver looks a tad clumpy and gloppy in spots. I agree with you on the white paint though, I don't like working with it either. It's hard to work with, but so is silver. I try to avoid those, and gold wherever possible.

If I had better skills, I'd be glad to help you out, but I have a difficult time getting things right myself.

I can paint pretty well, but I've never done washes or sculpey or anything like that. That's a ways away for me.

I've used some styrene to fix my Masterpiece Megatron, but that was an adventure I don't feel like repeating any day soon.

the tip was most helpful, and appreciated. luckily, it turns out silver is a decent primer for white. so all i gotta do is wait for the paint to dry, put her back together and see how she looks before adding details.

Really? Holy crap! I might have to give that a shot. I have silver pens, silver paint, etc. Thank you for the heads up!

quick update, painted over the silver with white. like i said, silver does appear to be a nice primer, much like a grey.
