Presenting Nemesis Primal.

I had made him around Christmas time, but only had a crappy camera. So I didn't post the crummy pictures then.

I drilled holes in the monkey fists so he can stand on his board in robot mode. I don't know why Hasbro didn't do this in the first place since that part of the monkey fist is covered by the knuckle guard in monkey mode anyway. Also I gave him a sword from one of the G.I. Joe ninjas, I think Shadowstorm. He can hold the sword firmly without any mods.

When I saw a topic early last week, it reminded me that I still hadn't taken pictures of it with my new good camera. So I took it out and shot it over the weekend.

So here is my Nemesis Primal for anyone that want to see it.

Nah! I'm trying to keep as much of the menacing black as possible. Which means minimal highlights. I used to have a tendency to overdue the detailing and the figures would look wrong, so I now go by 'less is more'.

To me it just looks like Optimus Primal with red eyes. I see no real difference

Look at these images of 10th anniversary Primal and Cybertron Primal from the seibertron image gallery. If you don't see the difference then... well, better have your eyes checked.

Well then let me rephrase my statement.

It looks almost identical to a redo of an toon accurate Primal with red eyes.

I still have to disagree. The toon monkey was a gray haired monkey with lighter gray skin tones and no blue. Mine is a black haired monkey with tan skin tones and plenty of blue.

The only reason it looks similar is the mold sculpt.

Here's images of the 10th anniversary toon accurate Primal so you can see the major differences to that too.

I hate the look of that mold, but your colors make it look good.

Great job with it, but it still has to much white to be Nemesis Primal.

I always thought that this version of Primal looked a little poorly colored, but this Nemesis Primal actually makes the figure look a lot nicer to me.
