This is just a repaint of Drift with a Prime headswap. I'm a big fan of this mold, and it came to me the other day that it would be cool to make a Samurai Prime based on this figure.

That's actually pretty cool. I'm not usually a fan of Prime as a car, but I think this works. I'd love to see a back story for him.

wow! looks like it was factory made smooth paint and incredible detail ive seriously got to try some custom work myself. really inspiring

Once I stopped laughing and took another look at the alt mode I came to the conclusion that yeah, I could totally see that. I was thinking that it needed a little something to break up all that red and the only thing that came to mind would be a silver stripe something along the lines of the blue, angled stripe that runs the length of G1 Primes trailer. The blue flames might be a cool tribute to Movie Prime while the bot mode still retains more of a traditional Prime look.

No matter what, this is an awesome looking take on Prime. I never would have thought of doing something like this. Great Job!

Just make it shiny, and you've got a spot-on Alternity imitation.

Ok, first of all that is AMAZING!
car could use a little more detailing, tho. Just a tip. (maybe some blue stripes across the lower half of the sides of the car or something)
But it is still amazing

I personally think the car looks best the way it is. Very generic looking, so passing humans could never guess it can turn into a robot!

The more I look at it the more I'm inclined to agree. The old saying "less is more" is probably for the best. I looked at my own Drift figure again (yeah, I'm contemplating a similar idea in a different color scheme/head sculpt. Wouldn't dream of a straight up copy of your awesome work) and there really isn't enough space on him to pull off the striping without making it look cluttered. You have the Prime head and base color on him and that alone makes for an amazing look.

Man...this is such an old post, but Op looks so epic! I wonder if you still have it...because I sure as heck would like to buy it from you!

It's cool but I think Prime looks better as a truck. Nice throwback to Alternators.

This is one of those times where I prefer the custom over the original character the mold was made for.

The bright red colors suit the alt mode a lot more that Drift's rather plain white.

I'm curious about the head sculpt, though. I'm not familiar with this particular OP head, but then I'm no TF expert. Which OP fig did it come from? It's probably just me, but the head sculpt makes OP look "young," as in a teenager, which suits this custom to a tee.

All in all, an awesome custom.

Armada Deluxe Prime. AKA Bendy Prime.

I love this figure. The paint work is so smooth and has such nice sharp lines as well. Really impressive work and a creative use of the mold.

Heheh, the head certainly looks better on the custom than the original body it came from.
