So I've never done any customizing beyond simple part-swapping and cannibalization, but ever since images were released I've been dying to get a second set of Computron and Abominus to repaint into their SG selves.

I've been reading about enamel paints and there's a few hobby shops around me, but I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on prep work, styles/techniques or even paints/colours specific to the G1 plastics, joints and other workings. It may be my first, but I still want to make sure it's done right :3 Thanks!!

I could have sworn I had a post on this, but I can't find it. In it's place, please see Shadow CMNDR's post on the subject; I agree with all his recommendations except: I prefer Testor's enamel paints, especially for metallic colors, and I don't use an airbrush.

Protip: whichever paint you decide to use, check the manufacturer's website or an in-store display for their paint charts. You can then compare them to the Technobot's colors so you know what to get for the SG Terorcons, and vise-versa.
