hmmm, lets see...

On vortex, he has 5 pieces from the 'Blast Off' tank (the inner chest-neck area, and the guns and posts on his copter nose) and 'swindles rotors, and one piece of styreene sheet.

Brawl has from 'Blast off'; his arms, main turret gun, front leg panels, the hinges for the back leg panels, and (probably not noticable) due to cutting the treads in half, a small slither from 'Blast Off's' were used to bridge a gap in both. He has 'Swindles' feet.
His arm and neck ball joints are from a small movie fig KO, but you could get away with those of either 'Swindle' or 'Blast Off'
He has a very large amount of styreene sheets and tubing! And his pistol was done from left over Classiscs magnus bits :D

All-in-all, you could easily achieve both figs simply from buying one 'Bruticus maximus' (any variation) set in terms of existing parts.

Hope that helps :D

YOU ARE A TRANSFORMERS GENIUS!!

Those a re the coolest little customs ever and i love how you made it all happen with the spare parts from the actual energon set.

I have been trying to figure out how i can make my vortex, Brawl and Onslaught more G1ish and sorta bulk them up abit especially Brawl because he seems like the energon version is not bulky/brawly for me

Do you have any tips and tricks for me to use? I just picked up some GW green stuff that i was going to use to make little face plates for them
