I cut up Rodimus’ crossbow to make a pair of pistols, which I them modded to fit into the empty space in his rear end. Sounds dirty but it’s not.

I had to shorten the length of the pistols by cutting off a chunk of the “cap” on the back. Then it’s a matter of fitting the two pistols into place under his rear deck. It took a little experimenting, but they stay in via friction and pressure alone, no pegging necessary. I would say they stay well enough for light play, def. enough for display.

I still need to cap off the ends of the pistols where the piece was cut off, but in the meantime, please enjoy these crappy blurry pics! (Sorry.) Soon I’ll post better ones and detailed shots of the pistols themselves.

From what I can see this is a pretty cool and natural-looking mod. Could you post pics of the finished pistols please?

looks good so far. I would love to see how the pistols turn out. Such a seemingly perfect fit, I have to wonder if this might have orignally been a design concept that was abandoned to due to cost or some other factor. I just can't get behind Hot Rod using a bow and arrow looking weapon. A+ Both necessary and natural.
