Hey Guys, I'm working on a custom Dinobot Sludge Transformer.
I used i G1 Sludge, glued him and painted him black.
In the next step he will get a lava looking paint & a weapon.
This is a non transforming dinobot.

Great concept, I definitely like what your doing there.
However, I was just wondering did you ever considered leaving the 'Lava' painted black? It could look like Sludge had actually gotten himself stuck in a tar pit, like real Dinosaurs, or even the Dinobots themselves in the G1 season 2 episode 'Dinobot Island'. Just a thought as it could look more natural than lava?

Yes i also thought to use tarpit instead of lava. I want to experiment how the figur looks with red lava paint, i think it might look more interesting than black tarpit. Perhaps the red paint will better fit to the frightening force of the dinobots

The lava would certainly look more visually dynamic than plain black tar. Definitely keep up the good work, can't wait to see what it looks like once completed.
