Wow, I've been wanting to do this ever since I saw the Reveal the Shield Perceptor mold. It uses Perceptor and a WFC Soundwave. You need to lop off both the neck and head peg, then install a tiny ball joint for his neck. Then saw the shoulder cannon in half and the same with Perc's roof cannon. Glue them together and it still flips over to form the lights. The gun can be stored up in the vehicle and fits in Perc's hand perfectly. I painted him using Tamiya TS-19 Brilliant Blue and various Testors/Formula P3 paints. His chest window even flips down Soundwave style, it was perfect! Now I have a modern style Soundwave that still has a G1 feel to it. I used that Tamiya [For Plastics] lacquer for his base blue. Dries FAST and smooth. I recommend it over Krylon any day now. Only thing is it's $5-$6 a can and you only get a third of the amount in a normal spraypaint can.

Nice work. Now you may give Hasbro ideas who to repaint on Perceptor. Just kidding.

Well it's certainly found a good use for the boring Perceptor mold even if the vehicle mode is still incredibly dull. Never been much a fan of Soundwave myself but this is a very good custom and certainly better than the WFC figure.

I just noticed that this is the perfect mode for soundwave.I wish hasbro would use soundwave instead of perceptor with this mold.

WTH?! I haven't even seen a Classics Perceptor out in stores yet and someone's doing kitbashes with it already.
Awesome job though.

Screw Reflector, this is the repaint/retool I want for Perceptor. It completely works.

Yep, Hasbro needs to look to this kitbash and do a repaint themselves of RTS Perceptor to create a RTS or Generations Soundwave. Because it is very evident that this mold works out perfectly for Soundwave. Great job on the kitbash. Kudos!

Well done I never would have thought the mold would work. Only thing I would like to suggest if you ever do another one of these is to paint the chest laser beak style

I said it over at the Realm, and I'll say it here, THIS is the remold that should be done for Perceptor, not Reflector.
Nice work as always!

Simply Awesome, now i need to get me an extra soundwave & perceptor so i can do this. I think this mold works better as a Soundwave rather then a perceptor.

Go back and read all this guys negative posts. It's quite funny.
