It's Hun-gurr!
he's probably the most work i've ever put into a custom to date, and it fought me every step of the way, don't get me wrong, it was a pleasure to do, but every stage just seemed to go wrong somewhere :P
He was made from a classics grimlock, with a custom built tail and shins, he had his forelegs repositioned and his arms removed from the dodgy hinges, his hands were replaced with those of rotf sideswipes, and his robot and dragon heads were (re)sculpted. to finish up i gave him a reveal the shield sticker/emblem thingy, and a fancy purple sword robbed from a knockoff gundam and repainted. i know he usually has a gun but a sword seems more fitting as the other beasts often have them (dinobots, predacons etc)
I love how hes turned out, and i'm glad i stuck with it until the end!
P.S. i'm never painting with tamiya white again! horrible stuff!

Looks Good!

Of course, I've always been a sucker for this character.

When I looked at the Classics Grimlock, my first thought was Deszaras done in a similar sort of way. I don't know why this never occured to me.

Now I want to see the rest of the terrorcons! :-)

That's a good idea. Does it need a head to support it's beastmode, though?

Thanks for the comments people :)
he can stand fine without support in beast mode, it's a little top heavy with the sculptwork that went into it, but a balance is very achievable.

I'm planing on revisiting this custom now i have more time to work on these, and with better tools too, he will be stripped, fixed up and repainted soon, and if anyone has any ideas for the other terrorcons, i'd be glad to give them a go too!
