I had a sudden inspiration after seeing a tread about a custom TF on 4chan's /toy/. Ignoring the usual hate, I was inspired to do one of my own. So, here it is:



An then, I put it up for sale on Ebay. The bid started at one cent, with free worldwide shipping. I talked about it just a little on /toy/ and on seibertron's forum. There must be some mouth-to-hear talk because the success was unexpected! Hey, even Frenzy_Rumble put on a bid! Here is the ended listing: (names censored for anonymity)



I also answered lots of hillarious questions. I enjoyed responding.



Finally, a guy from Hong-Kong won and he even paid really fast! Here's the mail.



I really had a lot of fun doing this auction. Of course, I will not do this again for a long time. and if I do, it will be something along the same lines, but with a different concept.

So, what do you guys think?

I saw this thing on eBay a few days ago. I just couldn't beleive the damn thing was actually worth something!

I saw that earlier this week when it had 8 bids at $2.75 or something like that. If I'm not mistaken this is not the first time someone did this. I find it hilarious in so many different ways. The most prominent is how idiotic people are to actually bid on a piece of folded paper with a humanoid drawing on it. I think Hasbro's future is foretold here.

Aw come on. The ones who bid were far from idiotic. They clearly knew what they were doing. Meaning participating and rewarding a clever joke that made them laugh!

Years ago, I was walking down the street downtown when I saw a bum begging for money. He said something so incredibly funny that I burst out laughing real hard! I just had to give him all of my coins and dimes and penny.

It's the same principle.

Yes, I do understand this principle. I am fully appreciating the joke...and so are 20-something other people who bid on it. But I still can't believe anyone actually bid on it.

I think the buyer should get this piece AFA graded.

I like the coffee drinker smiley added to the quote. Quite appropriate.

No way would I pay that much for that. Im holding out for the CHMS version.

sadly, i think this figure will be a very easy target for KO's...It';s a crying shame, I know.

Looks nice... but I think I can hold out for a Masterpiece version.

You sure about that? The CHMS tend to cost more. Hold out for chrome parts, that will account for higher price tag.
