Shattered Glass Ironhide

Here he is Shattered Glass Ironhide. His colors seem to be based off the Diaclone Ironhide so I went with that route. He is made from a classcis/generations Ironhide with some minor mods to help with the head issue. His stripes are made from vinyl used for model cars.

I am considering selling him, so anyone interested can shoot me a PM.

what a waste....it was a nice idea but you do know a classics ironhide/ratchet can fetch for around $60+ on ebay yeah?

these guys are worth alot still atm. The second those igear versions come out then i doubt these guys will be worth so much but at present there still worth alot of cash. You really should have done this with a ko version of kotoys rather than a real one

So let me understand.... You wasted time posting on what a waste you felt I committed in making this custom without and comment on the custom it self?? Doesnt matter how much one is going for now on ebay. I bought this ironhide back when they went on clearance at my local walmart. Paid like 7 bucks for it. My toy my custom. I wanted to use a legit toy so I used a legit toy. Why use one that will not be in scale with my classics toys???

but the ko ironhide IS in scale with the original...

all im saying is i find it abit heartbreaking you paid $7 for something you can EASILY make a profit on for $60+ when you could have just paid $10 and gotten the same scale ko and used that instead

remember if this was the BLUE faced ironhide it would have been worth more since they came out first and then the grey faced versions started showing up

if you want me to comment about the figure itself i think its a nice idea but the paint work looks sloppy. You should have taken it all apart and used sprays because i can see chips and flakes and brush marks all over the place. Buy a can of tamiya black and then spray it all black (take it apart first) and then reasemble it all and it would look fantastic as a classics trailerbreaker if you gave him a new head and some modded parts

Again my toy, my choice. No different then poeple using a Botcon toy for a custom. And they are not going for 60 loose on ebay. check again. The only KO ironhides I know of are bigger and cheaply made. No thxs. As far as the figure goes, what brush strokes?? You must be looking at a different figure. Unless the lighting is flashing in a way to make you think there are brush strokes.
Thank you for your comments thought.

are you sure about that? i sold a henkei ratchet less than 2 weeks ago for £80 which = far more than $100

i also sold classics ironhide and racteht less than 3 weeks ago and both sold for about £50 which is something like $70

also trust me i can see brush stroke and flakes and parts of red in the figure because you clearly didnt primer the figure. You have just put 1 coat of black with a brush on the main base of the toy which is showing brush stroke marks and spots of red.

All im saying is you should take it apart and use something like tamiya black spray and spend 1-2 days effort making it look better if your planning on selling him on ebay. Even if you did that and then gave him a better head it would equal more money for you

Ebay- not likely. chekc recent auctions. $20 bucks give or take.

custom- first i did take him apart, second i did take my time. took weeks to do him. third you cannot see brush strokes.

I thank you for your time but as far as I am concerned we are done discussing this. good day.
