My Classics Ultra Magnus

First of all, thanks to vidmouse who started this brilliant idea. Having his idea in mind, I started my own project.

I have to admit this wasn't a very successful custom especially I made a critical mistake on spraying the wrong base coat. Anyway it is done and I still think I need to share with you guys. Again, if you like to see my WIP about how and what parts I did, please click the link here. Any comments are welcome.

That is awesome!
This is simply just a brilliant idea, and it looks so very good. IT kinda looks like idw Ultra Magnus.

Wow, I couldn't guess the base figure until you showed the back. That is one well done figure, in both concept and execution. It just screams UM and looks very unique, even right next to Inferno

I saw this idea awhile back from someone else and thought it was pretty nifty.

Your version completely validates that claim. Wonderful job, UM is simply bad-ass here!

"wasn't a very successful custom"?

Wow, I really want to see what you WOULD consider successful then, because this looks freakin sweet to me.

Thanks for all the inputs.

Ehhhh,,,,,,,, maybe this guy?

The major problem for Ultra Magnus (besides the quality issue, I blame that on Hasbro) is the paint. As I mentioned before, since I used the wrong base coat, I had to spray another base coat to cover it and then added other paints on top of that. So his paint is quite thick and very easily getting scratches. After couple transformations, there are already some paints chipped especially on the body. :-( A good lesson learned for next time.

If you make me one, I'll hug it, and squeeze it, and call it george.
Seriously though, I want one of these, it's perfect!

Exactly, I never would have guessed! Looks great, and so does your Shockwave!

Very nicely done - and a better paint job than the one that inspired you!
