The Energon Pub

This was a fun (following EchoTransformer's instructions) then nightmarish build (adding my revisions)!

Basically, what I wanted to achieve was a more complex transformation (try to move the backpack up and closer to the body), a more defined cab section (with some extra bells and whistles) and more stability in both modes.

Revisions:
-redesigned feet (so they sit more flush in truck mode)
-rear fenders (transformable!)
-front fenders (sorta)
-side mirrors (they fold against the chest in robot mode)
-rotatable and foldable front end
-clips to attach the front portion of the cab to the back part
-taller lower torso with rotatable support bars to keep the chest level (the original design tended to sag under the weight)
-lower front wheels to make the truck level
-swingable front wheels (toward the torso) to prevent the backpack from rotating down
-additional articulated clip to grab the backpack on the bumper
-new panels on the top and rear of the cab to hide to head and refine the cab
-machine gun than turns into the hitch part (and keep the legs from spreading in truck mode)
-matrix of leadership

The figure is fully articulated but you have to be extremely careful when you manipulate or transform it. Since I'm happy with the end result, I will probably glue some of the parts that tend to detach to make the figure even more stable.

What I liked about EchoTransformer's was the "Lego Technic" complex look. Badass. I did my best to preserve the look while doing my revisions.

Transformation sequence (from truck to robot):

1. Detach the hitch from the figure
2. Fold the mirrors against the windshield
3. Detach the front black clips
4. Swing out the arms and move them up
5. Swing down the legs
6. Flip up the feet
7. Rotate each rear fender toward the knee
8. Rotate the feet 180 degrees
9. Rotate the chest support bars out 135 degrees
10. Fold down the front portion of the cab
11. Rotate the upper part of the cab 180 degrees
12. Swing up the head
13. Unfold the rear articulated a bit so you can grab it later
14. Rotate the backpack 180 degrees
15. Rotate the front wheels toward the torso to lock the backpack left to right
16. Attach the articulated clip to the front bumper
17. Rotate the fists out 90 degrees
18. Unfold the hitch part to transform it into machine gun mode
19. Put the gun onto one of the hand

Done!

Some more revisions:

-horns (rotate out 90 degrees for robot mode)
-footboards (swing under the forearms for robot mode)
-roof panels (swing up 135 degrees for robot mode)
-doors (open and swing up 45 degrees for robot mode)
