So, like most of you, I'm disappointed in the Classics G2 Megs figure. So, I made him a hand! And a shoulder mount for his cannon.

As you can see, I mounted the whole weapon assembly on his right shoulder behind his head, just like the original G2 toy.





I took the hand from a broken FOX Kids Transmetal Rhinox and cut off the forearm. I then drilled a standard 5 mm hole in the fist and where the hand attaches. The spinning peg on his wrist is a standard 5 mm size. He can hold his gun in that hand or any standard weapon.



I used the Walmart crazy straws recommended by Jin Saotome to make two posts on his back: the one on top is for the weapon mount, while the rear one is to store the fist while in alt mode.





After a little more modding (I had to trim the back end of the gun assembly to make room for the new post in alt mode) he transforms just fine! Just a slight bit of partsforming I plan to paint the hand so it doesn't stand out so much; I just have to find the right color first.

That's a sweet bit of work there. I might just have to do the same to mine, should I find the right hand.
