My custom scout/small DX Insecticons
Posted: Tue Apr 24, 2012 7:02 pmHey everyone, here are my custom scout/small DX Insecticons that I created from three dismantled scoutclass Hardtops and all four of those Big Lots Quick Change insects.
I recently got into collecting and this is my first custom job ever, and just wanted to share these guys with someone. I'm clearly not as good as some of the pro guys on here, but I'm pretty proud of them.
I wanted Insecticons for my Classics collection, but I didn't want to buy the 3rd party ones, partially because of price, partially because I wanted something closer to the original G1, and partially because I always envisioned the Insecticons being on the smaller side.
The legs are on ball joints as are the arms, but overall they are a bit fragile I might just leave these in bot mode permanently. Bombshell and shrapnel have some add on pieces for insect mode instead of fully transforming to cover up some open areas....
