-Kanrabat-'s Kreation: Scrawpsome the Junkion!

I have many parts leftover. So, why not do something with them?
For once, something that is not a tank? Something taht is not a plane?

An Autobot.
The madman strike again with a custom pulled out of his ass in less than an hour!

AUTOBOT JUNKION!

This is not a triple changer. This is not one of Blitzwing's familly.

It was just a matter of taking some trash and make some ball-joints pop-out and in, then figure out how to make this work. Only a little shaving of the kneecaps was needed. No unscrewing, no glue.

Sure, it's hard to tell the front from... the front. But who really care?

Image
Image
Image
Hey, this vehicle work! it's, hum,... Cybertronian.
Yeah.
Image
ALMIGHTY ROBOT MODE!!!

(The ball joints could use some super glue or nail polish.)
Image
Image
Image
Image
He have no weapons. His only goal is to run toward the 'cons, shouting and flailing his arms around to draw all the fire.
He is the perfect decoy. An obstinate decoy that regenerate!

The only true modding was to take an Exacto knife to shave off some kneecaps so the knees bend some the other way to allow the car to be level.

Appart that, yup, just part swaps. I'm amazed at how much parts ar compatible with each others. That junk lot of mine is like a big box of Lego!
That's why I may do a "junkion" series.
At least, this time, nothing new or unbroken was used.

Next step, painting. What color (appart ****) should I paint him?

Meh... this suck...
Forget this one. I came up with a much better design:

Scrawpsome the Junkion!

I came up with the prototype in less than an hour, but I was not satisfied.

Here's the perfect version:

Image
It dont roll at all because there bits or arm underneath that dont clear enough, but it's no biggie.
Image
This is not Cybertronian anymore. This time, it's really Earth based... if the protoform felled into a scrapyard, of course!
Image
Only the green "smokestacks" need to be painted. Maybe a nice silver.
Image
Here's the vehicle mode 2.0:

FLIGHT MODE!

Image
Image
Tons of Transformers pull a "flight mode" out of a ground vehicle by just popping out some wings.
So shut up.
Image
This mode make me use some features of the legs that I would not use otherwise.
It's not too shabby for a bonus mode.
Image

Robot mode next post.

GLORIOUS ROBOT MODE!

t's not perfect, but at least I can manage some cool poses. That optional heelspur help a lot.

Also, I used the Exacto knife a lot for this. I had to cut some uneeded bits off the legs and I had to adapt the douchebag head from it's previous swivel joint to a ball joint.

The paint will be minimal on this. All of these colors already work so well together.

Thanks! Nothing is more fun when you shuffle trhough a junk pile and find something tha work!

Once again, nothing new or unbroken was sacreficed this time. I guess only 3 bots donated parts.
> Movie classic Camaro Bumblebee
> Activator Bulkhead
> Random truck guy

That's it!
At last, My first deluxe AUTOBOT design. No tank, no jet, all awesome Junkion!

I'm very happy with him. For once, I love yellow!

Before I paint anything, Srawpsome is standing with his brothers.

So, watdday'all think?

I just wanted you to know, you killed Heavyload. That being said, the final result is awesome.

So, that's what he was called.
Never mind, he was already dead when I got him.

By the way, thanks! Still, he's not totally finished. Just a few touch-up needed. Stay tuned!

Forget about the flight mode, the sillyness of it distracts from the other two modes which work perfectly.

The "flight mode" is just a bonus mode. Like so many jetformers that can be "gerwalks" or something.

Only thing missing is just a few paint aps and decals to complet my custom.

I like the flight mode, but of course, I'm also a fan of the goofy 'vehicle' modes of the Transmetal TF's :P.

I think this is yet another sweet custom and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. You turn chunks of TF's into Lego's and come up with some astounding and imaginative designs more original than most of the customs I've seen. Very cool.

Thanks guys for your support! I'm glad you liked it.

Unfortunately, I messed up. Big time. I used once again Testor oil paints to just put some silver paint aps. Then, I wanted to give him a light brown wash for a "dirty" look. So, I used a tiny quantity of brown paint for a large quantity of paint thinner.

Good lord...

It was looking good, UNTIL THE WASH ATE TROUGH ALL THE PLASTIC. The irreversible chemical reaction made ALL the plastic of the toy brittle as if it was made out of gold plastic ripe with GPS. Le legs were the first to crumble, starting at every joints and pins. Finally, the bumblebee part followed. Even the head did not survive.

The only thing left are the activator-bulkhead's arms. The rest just crumbled to nothingness.................

...

...

...

I'm not willing to give up just yet. I still have one old Camaro Movie Bee in my collection, plus yet another spare one I planned to sell. So I took that nint toy and went to work.
That next custom might be more complicated. It may be less cool or fun than the previous one, but one thing is sure: It will look BADASS.

This time, the whole thing will be painted.
WITH TAMIYA WATER BASED PAINT.

Stay tuned.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I gotta say it is kinda funny and fitting that this happened to your Junkion :P.

They are made of 'junk' after all :).

I can't wait to see your effort to replace him, I'm sure it will be awesome.

Thanks for the supprot, guys.
At least, I learned something this time.

Oh, and that Testor paint left? DUMPED IN THE TRASH, WHERE IT BELONG!

Even the brand new pots. Oil paints can BURN IN HELL! At least, Tamiya water colors will not pull that bullshit on me.

Scrawpsome's successor's is almost done. Only one part need to be glued and screwed in and the whole thing need to be painted. I do hope the final result will be up to Scrapsome's awesomenss.

Yep, oil based paints are bad for plastics. I think it's because plastics are petrolium (oil) based too, so it somehow causes a chemical reaction that dissolves/breaks them down.

I always use Testors Acryllics, but of course those are the equivalent of nail polish so they tend to scratch etc. with too much handling, but for the most part I paint my customs and put them on the shelf in the mode and pose that I like best, so I don't have to worry about wear due to transformation etc.

Okay, now I put some real work in that deluxe.

The Movie old Camaro Bee that I had for sale had to be sacrificed for the cause. Then, many parts of the junk pile were used. Breacher, Classic Starscream, Generation Wheeljack, Ultimate Battle Megatron.

Some heavy cutting was needed. A sharp Exacto is a modder's best friend! I only needed to bolt one part in place. The rest are all blall-joint compatible. And if the ball-joints were not compatible, I made them be.

It's holding itself together okay.

If I could figure out hos to create tabs and pegs, this would be more solid. Also, the front of the "bee" part never stay completely closed. It was like this from the start.
It now have weapons. Old Camaro Bee's to be exact. I hated the missiles so I removed them.

Photobucket is derping right now. So have the vehicle mode in attachments.

Of course, the thing is unpainted for now.

The clear plastic will be painted over. I think maybe painting underneath and leaving the other side unpainted for effects.

And now, the robot mode!

The ball-joints would need crazyglue to be more tight. Still, they are still solid enough for some equilibrium feat.
I consider the "starscream elbow" just a transformation joint and it will never be used for posing.

Same thing for the "starscream knee".

Still attachments.

Just a minor update. I drilled a smal hole on the top of the vehicle so that my spare targetmaster can be his partner.
It work pretty well.

Also, Crazy glue on the ball joints to tighten him up.

Now, only thing left to do is to paint him. With proper paint of course.

By the way, I made some heavy modifications to my Junkion. He now have two minicon/targetmaster partners and a new head I partly sculpted with a knife. I'm broke right now so I cannot buy paints yet. Look for the finished Junkion in around 2 weeks!

You did Breacher's awesome head sculpt proud! I always said the little fella should've been a deluxe! xD

Unfortunately, that head did not really turn on that mismatched balljoint and that head was not "Junkion" enough. So I gave him a brand new head from one of my very first sacrifice for my first real custom, Apetimus Supreme.
So, that spare loose head work perfectly. I just resculpted it a little with a knife and glued on an extra piece.
I'm not revealing the new bot mode yet. I will do only when it will be 100% complete and painted.
Look forward for it in one or two weeks!

--------------------------

By the way, I just scored myself a Beast Machine Vehicon Blastcharge, 100% complete for just 8$ shipped. Some of the metal paint is flaked off but who care. I was not sure about buying it at first. The Plastic Adict made a review of him, saying how much of a piece of trash it is:

I think he missed the piont. Either unknowingly or on purpose. Just look at him and tell me what you see:

What I see here is one rad looking JUNKION! Not only he look the part, but he have the right color scheme! Who said Junkions should just be bikes? And for just 8$ shipped, how can you go wrong?
I had trouble figuring out what color should I paint my custom Junkion.
NOW I KNOW!

I LOVE Blastcharge. I loved him as a kid and I still do! And I've seen TJOmega's review of Blastcharge...but here's the thing; when he hates something, you can tell, it just comes through in his voice. I've watched that review a couple times, but I've never been convinced that he ACTUALLY hates Blastcharge. I just don't hear that loathing when he talks about it. I feel like he was probably being pressed to do a review and couldn't find something, or perhaps was convinced to do a "Plastic Addict" review of it by someone. That's just my take, and maybe I'm wrong, but it just doesn't sound the same as say...Ultra BM Cheetor's review. It's more of an "I just kinda don't like it," review than a "This this is GARBAGE and you should avoid buying it at all costs unless you absolutely HAVE to have it," review.

Sure, Blastcharge has it's issues, but it's not really "Plastic Addict" material. He's average, not particularly good or bad (in general), but he has his fans. :)
