FINALLY! I finally painted my Classics Grimlock. Now that I have a voyager FOC Grimlock, I can replace this figure. Just did the usual, flat black base coat, dry brush silver and then dark and light grey, and brass, gold, and some reds.I did not paint the head and the red jewel on the chest.

I really don't get why a lot of people dislike this figure.
He's adorable!

Those colours look really nice, omega666, nice to see some love for Classics Grimlock! :APPLAUSE:

Agreed. I have aleays liked this grim. Now that foc grim is in my collection classics has taken a back seat, but I still think classics has a better dino mode than foc grims.
Nice custom!

Why this figure sucks? The way the alt mode makes the bot mode look like crap and it should be a voyager not a deluxe. The FOC is not perfect but it's a step in the right direction. It's a voyager and the transformation is similar to the G1. Dinohead folds back, tail becomes legs, dino legs become arms.

A cool matte yet decidedly metallic repaint. What paint & colours did you use?

There's a place for both Classics and FOC figures in one collection. I renamed the Classics one Sharptooth, since all Dinobots besides Grimlock have names starting with an S and it's a reference to Land Before Time. His smaller, lithe alt-mode can be a smaller species of tyrannosaurid, like Albertosaurus.
