Steel Core - POWERMASTER!! (W.I.P.)

I was fiddling around with SC the other day thinking of what to do with the back of his alt mode. I've seen the renders of the trailer they are making for SC, but I'm not into the idea of it.
I noticed that Core looks a lot like the old Power Master Engine figures, so I decided that this guy needs to be a Power Master!
I dug deep into my model car parts collection and found some extra bits from some Back to the Future Deloreans.
Here's where I'm at:
And how I've gotten this far:
after posting this photo i realized I had cut one end off of each piece to get what I needed and mis matched the broken piece in this pic
I have a limited paint palette, and I suck....
