Today I would like to present You my Grimlock cardboard replica. I wanted to make as accurate classic Grimlock model as possible. Body is made of cardboard and It has some plexiglas parts on chest. Crown and eyes in both modes are also plexiglas. Figure is fully transformable into both robot and dino mode. There are 8 LEDs in model used for eyes (blue, not purple. some photographs make it look different), Dino mode cannon and Autobot logo. Batteries are hidden within figure and can be easily replaced. The light switch is located on Grimlock's back. Plexiglas Sword is also highlited with LEDs. I used white ones but I added red filter so the light color can be easily changed. I used some tin foil inside sword, eyes and autobot logo on the chest. It makes light much more scattered comparing to standard LED. Custom base was especially built for this model. It has four white LEDs in the corners. Those provide some delicate lighting for my transformer. It looks especially well in the evening. The base has also Grimlock's name highlighted. Thanks to another filter it can be white or red. Each part has separate power supply and on/off switch. I used over 80 magnets to make sure Grimlock stays stable in both modes. Mouth cannon can be hidden within its dino head (held by two magnets) so Grimlock can breathe fire or not;). The robot mode crown is detachable. My Grim has some articulation (fingers, elbows, shoulders, knees hips and rotating dino arms) but because of weight it's not very poseable. The figure is about 40 inches tall which looks impressive compared to standard leader class transformer (in one of the photographs it stands next to Ultimate Bumblebee and ROTF Leader Optimus Prime. In another one I used standard DVD box for comparison). Hope you like it

Thanks:) To be honest I don't have as much spare time as I would like to have;), I was building it for about 3-4 months. I made this model a while ago. It was before I started posting my work here. I am catching up now;)

Holy.... It's large, it transforms, and it had LED's. Does it walk on water? What am I saying? It's cardboard; of course it does!

Seriously, an awesome job!
