Hello fellow Seibertronians! Yesterday, I posted my very first Transformer custom, RotF voyager Megatron (Link to robot mode here:http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/viewtopic.php?f=143&t=97892#p1537279), which was completed back in 2010. Well my customizing skills have improved since then, and now I present you my 2013 edition of a movie-verse Megatron! Here's a link to the Tank mode: http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/custom-voyager-movie-verse-megatron-tank-mode-p1537434.php#p1537434.

I say "movie-verse" because I decided use creative license to design a Megatron that took the best of the Revenge of the Fallen design (tank legs) and the Dark of the Moon design (a more asymmetrical appeal). This design was actually based on another custom, non-transformable yet fully poseable Megatron figure I built shortly before this project was completed (I'll post it another day). You could say this figure is still Revenge of the Fallen though, since he still does transform into the flying tank  .

So what were the improvements? Why the upgrade? Well, my previous Megatron figure was not a very stable figure (and kind'a chunky and kibbly), and transforming it always posed a risk of possibly breaking the toy. And after a while, it lost its appeal to me. I wanted a Megatron toy that I could happily give to someone else without worrying about it breaking during transformation, and a Megatron with better proportions, better detailing, and a more stable transformation. And thus were the foundations of this project, and I couldn't be more happy with the results!

This Megatron was built mainly from a RotF voyager Megatron and a Speed Stars Stealth Force Megatron toy, with additinal parts from a TtM voyager Megatron, a DotM voyager Megatron, a Rotf leader-classs Megatron, a Transformers Prime voyager Megatron, and a RotF Fast Action Battlers Megatron... and plenty of ball joints. The head was taken from an Unleashed Megatron statue with additional clay pieces added. Once again, this figure was engineered to be fully transformable, with no parts forming. The only piece that is removed for transformation is the tank barrel, which doubles up as an arm cannon for robot mode. The robot is very poseable and the tank head can rotate freely in tank mode (something the older version could not do).

Thanks again for checking out my custom, and I hope you enjoy this one even more! Again, here's the link to the Tank mode: http://www.seibertron.com/energonpub/custom-voyager-movie-verse-megatron-tank-mode-p1537434.php#p1537434.

If you like this figure, I have a Skeletal Grimlock, movie/Prime Arcee, and movie/Prime Shockwave on the way. 8)

The surface finish is much better than your first one, and the tank mode is better. I think the arms are too simple though, not enough random overlapping plates for a Movie figure. Apart from that it's very nice.

This is a very nice toy. This is greater than the original Megatron. The Tank Mode is very cool. Show it to Hasbro they can learn from it. :P

Hands! He has hands!! Seriously, that looks marvelous. I particularly like that your additional parts came from other Megatrons. It just seems to fit that he wouldn't want to be "tainted" with spare parts from other bots.

That looks great! I like this better than any official version of movie Megs! Really like how balanced he looks overall and the arms work really well, especially the hands. Nice paint job as well!
