'Classicsverse' Powermaster Optimus Prime - COMPLETE!

Hi all, just a quick one I am working on. I always wanted a Powermaster Optimus Prime, but I didn't want it to be really massive such as Xovergen's effort. So I modified a KO of the FansProject DIA commander armour slightly. It is pretty much ready and needs paint now. Unfortunately today the local Games Workshop was closed because they couldnt find a new manager? Anyway, since I can't paint him yet I though I would get some feedback about what works well and what should change etc. I will be using the G1 figures weapons on the shoulders and as handguns.

Image
I need to try fix the slightly wonky head. I cut down DIA commanders neck joint and attached a smaller balljoint via a screw.
Image
I think the head works OK, because it has the 2 cylindrical details either side that are also on Powermaster Optimus Prime
Image
cutting the shoulders down has altered the back of the trailer slightly. It means I have to attach the crotch piece updside down.

Anyhoo, any feedback would be appreciated.

The only thing I can see is maybe cutting down the neck a little more, if it is possible. Otherwise he is looking good.

Wonder if one of those Steel Core chest minibot guys could be attached to Primes grill :-?

I see what you mean about the neck, it might look better without a neck at all, and just sitting flush. I think I will do that. Something was bugging me, I think that is it. Thanks!

thanks guys! well I have altered the neck now. I also drilled some holes to hold the black guns in trailer mode. I have started to paint with mixed results. I had to mask a lot!

I had some time this weekend and I have now finished this. As always, some things didn't go the way expected but I think it looks overall. Let me know what you guys think!

Comparison with the G1 figure

With Henkei Prime

With an example of the same mould - Ultra Magnus

Lots of guns!

Trailer mode - masking up the stripes took a while.

I kept the chest piece and made it removable, since it fills a void in trailer mode.
