Thanks!

Its is still Springers head, I just sanded parts of it down, and then I glued some styrene parts on to the top and sides of the helmet.

That's an awesome custom. Nice work indeed. Gives an insight into what that Cloud figure could potentially look like. Not sure it works though. It's still very 'Springer'. Any shots of the vehicle mode, please?

Thanks Everyone!

Yes, the possible Cloud figure gave me inspiration....sadly he doesn't transform... I sanded all the joints down and I just found out about the greatness of Future Floor Polish, but I had trouble getting the right color on his arms ... so he has too much paint gobbed on to transform the arms without the paint job being ruined.

But he does pose pretty nicely with no worries, I just was lazy taking photos of him so his poses are a little stiff.

You will have to use your imagination I suppose ;)

I think the Cloud figure should be even more unique with the IDW look so it might hide the Springer mold pretty well???

What sort of paint did you use? If the arms are easily removable you could drop them in a jar of rubbing alcohol overnight then attack with a rag, you will remove all paint after a few nights with no detriment to the plastic...

The arms is a mix of Testors Model Master Acrylic colors... Would alcohol still do the job?

I could try it, but I think if I did that would have to find a nice solid color I wouldn't have to mix the next time around, but I didn't see the right color at Hobbytown. Something like a purplish maroon...

its got Future on it now though...I could attempt to transform him, maybe I'll try, but I'll have to see how it goes....

I haven't used testors so couldn't say. But I would think it would do the trick. Is future a varnish? Not that you need to do anything unless you really want it to transform, it looks cool as is.
