Transformers The Movie 2 Autobot Cast
Posted: Thu Jan 01, 2015 5:07 amI like to wish everyone a better and happier 2015 as I kicked off this year with a brand new Transformers The Movie 2 Autobot Cast.
As much as I like to say this is Hasbro and I have been assigned to work on the animated sequel to the one in 1986, it is NOT.
Still with or without Hasbro's support, I still like to go ahead with the movie story as it has been so long - close to 30 years now since the first and only animated Transformers movie was shown in 1986.
Clockwise from left:
1. Blaster with red Autobot cassette bird Crimsonbeak
2. Raiden - combination of Trainbots
3. Superion - combination of Aerialbots
4. Omega Supreme
5. Skyfire - making a return from absence from Seasons 2-3 and previous movie
6. Metroplex - with a much more mature and sophisticated look
7. Dinoking - combination of Dinobots for the first and probably the last time only in this movie
8. Computron - combination of Technobots and responsible for merging the Dinobots into Dinoking.
9. Sky Lynx - with added transformation mode of mini-battle station besides flying bird and ground beast
10. Springer - newly elected Autobot commander by Optimus Prime and will play a more prominent character as compared to the original movie and Season 3.
11. Sandstorm and Broadside - the other 2 Autobot triple changers besides Springer. Together the three will be featured for the first time in this movie sequel.
12. Elita One - who replaces Arcee and Optimus Prime and becomes more prominent as the other main character aka Mrs Optimus Prime.
13. Jazzblaze - repainted version of original Jazz with a hotter and funkier look.
14. Monguyver - combination of Monsterbots and first combiner of just 3 robots before Road Caesar in Tranformers V-Victory.
15. Perceptor - still the same Autobot analyst as in Seasons 2-3 and the movie.
16. Slamdance - combination of Grand Slam and Rain Dance - 2 cassettes which transform into mini assault tank and jet fighter. First Autobot Combiner of 2 cassette warriors
And finally
17. Defensor - combination of Protectobots.
The bad news is Optimus Prime will not be featured other than the beginning when he elected Springer as new Autobot leader before leaving Earth with Ultra Magnus to look for other Autobots on Cybertron as shown in Transformers Season 4 - Rebirth.
Same for Hot Rod / Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, Kup, Blurr, Spike and Daniel Witwicky who are already featured in Rebirth.
The only ones who returned are Springer, Blaster, Perceptor, Jazz (now known as Jazz Blaze) and Dinobots with the ability to merge into Dinoking this time.
This movie could also be the first and last time we get to see all G1 characters - especially combiners - for the first and last time.
In Transformers The Movie, there is only one combiner and that is Decepticon Devastrator.
In Transformers The Movie 2 - My Story, you get to see all 13 combiners from both Autobots and Decepticons fighting against each other.
