Well, it's almost 3am for me, and I'm tired, but I couldn't sleep so I drew and colored this. It's supposd to be based off one of my characters, Saberstrike.

Sin is right, practice does make perfect. Anyway, another thing you could do is to look at pictures and try to copy details that you might be able to use for your project.

first of as far as pointers go-use the right tools for the job, unless u plan on doing something floral and flowy i recommend against using a wax based media (ie. crayons) although they can be used to create photo realistic effects the level of skill required is astronomical.

Grab some pencils and try drawing with them-defiantly dont use crayons to blackline, its not what they are made for, so u'll find they hinder ur drawing rather than enhance it

Here's the next one. Shiftspeed. Based my buddies '03 Honda Civic. Thios was also a test for me in digital coloring, to see how well it would turn out, versus me doing it by crayon.....I think I did an ok job on it.

Grim: Blackling? You talkin about where I went over the lines of my drawin? For that I used a black pen, and clored the rest in by crayon.
