Decepticon Holograms

So...I'm part of a community that likes to guess what the TFs' hologram would look like. As for the hologram that was in the movie, I didn't use him for any of the TFs except for Blackout. Since his debut movie appearance (both TF and holo) was with Blackout.

In the Prequel novel to the Transformer Movie, Barricade acted cold, calm, and somewhat calculating. So I made him look so. He didn't seem to have a temper in the novel. And if you think about it, you only saw Barricade angry ONCE in the movie. lol. But then again, I am not familiar with his G1 version. Anyhoot...

Megatron I use inspiration from his G1 self. He had that nose thing... (lol) and the whole helmet thing I just used for reason of his shoulder-length hair. If you notice, I also made his clothes inspired of "futuristic" armor and his Movie Mech body (the shoulder parts). HE DOESN"T LIKE HUMAN CULTURE, so he sticks to his own style.

Last but not least, Starscream was mostly inspired by his G1 version. (the whole face part) The hair... I forgot why I made it like that. But I guess if you think of a guy flying a jet, or being a jet, all the time, his hair would be slicked back from the momentum. lol! Clothes inspired by Jet Pilots.

(rest of Decepticon group coming later) Hope you like my interpretation of the holos.

Nice work. I need to be a little pedantic here though....screamers hair wouldnt be slicked back by momentum it would be slicked back by wind resistance.

If it was momentum, his hair would always stick forward.

I like the idea, and the figs are pretty well-drawn, but I'd have to disagree with the styles, particularly of Starscream and Barricade.
They both look just too 'rough'. Bear in mind the point of the hologram is to make it look like the TF is just another vehicle, so they really should look more generic, in a sense, and certainly not stand out as much as these guys would.

Starscream looks pretty good except for the fact that he's got his sleeves ripped off. You would never see an F-22 pilot (or any other jet pilot) without sleeves on his jacket, no matter how much of a maverick they were. He probably should at least be shown with a flight helmet, even if he's not wearing it.

Similarly Barricade's just unrealistic. No shirt, long hair; if you came across him in real life, you wouldn't be convinced for a second that he was a genuine cop. Personally, I think the guy in the movie worked better as Barricade's holo than Blackout's; he worked fine as Blackout too, but considering how little you saw of his face anyway, almost anyone could have done the job. With Barricade, he looked like a fairly generic cop, but with that slightly unsettling air (probably helped by the fact that he never spoke), which I think was just right.

Megatron's pretty cool. I'm not sure about the long hair, character-wise, but if, as you say, he has this disdain for Earth culture (as characterised by the armour), then I guess anything goes really. To be honest, given the unsubtlety of his vehicle mode, I can't see him even bothering with a holo, but if he does feel like it (just for the yuks :P), then this works.

I'd recommend Googling up pics of real cops and jet pilots, and getting ideas from them; for the holograms to serve their purpose effectively, they shouldn't stand out too much from the norm as these guys do.

Oh yea, duh! I couldn't find the right word for it. I'll change the word then? XD Thanks.

Yarrr... Yea, they prolly would stick out from regular humans. But to be honest, I wasn't really thinking about the whole "concealing" aspect. Although, I prolly should have, sinse I had the word holograms in my mind.

The whole googling thing- I REALLY DID DO THAT! For the uniforms atleast! Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten as much detail on their clothes if I didn't.

I guess, all your claims are true about my drawings. But like I said, I wasn't thinking about the whole "concealing" role, instead I was going more for a representation of their personality. I also agree with the Megatron one. lol. But if he was to ever use one, that would be what he looks like?? hahaha

I'll remember all that the next time I try my hand at redrawing them. x3

---Thanks Skullgrin! :D
