What I would do. judging on my experience in 28mm wargaming and converting.. I'd get some floor wax, and mix up an exqual part of the stuff together with a mixture of black, purple and brown ink to give that nice metal tinge to it, after that properly dried i'd carefully highlight the metal with silver

i need to touch up a couple things on him and hes ready for battle.. well maybe not.. wouldnt want to get any scratches on his perfect metal.. maybe hes best for struttin around the house for arcee

he does transform, I just need to figure out how to give him proper wings..

Yeah, he looks great! Glad you took of his ugly wings and pointless arm cannon. You almost make that crappy Voyager mold look half-decent!
Great work!

Nice work and, if you don't mind, a couple of questions: how do you get the metal to look so metallic? What paints do you use?
Thanks in advance.

Close up shots, Bay style. But steady your hand before you shoot.

hahaha... ill work on it.. been working on a project for my friend but should get around to taking some close ups soon.
I used oil based model paint.. thats how its so shiny... dry brush has its nice effects, but not for every figure.. I used a semi gloss acrylic for the black though. And again... a gold oil based paint..
last weekend when i was in the hobby shop, gary coleman was shopping in there for rc cars lol.. you have no idea how hard it was to control a loud, WHACHOO TALKIN BOUT, WILLIS?!

Is it pretty hard to work with that oil based paint??? How long is the drying time?? Do you have to prime the figure to use that paint????

Further proof that shiny=better on any Megatron toy.
I have the greatest urge to silver-fy my FAB Megatron, but have neither the skills or correct materials to do it..yet.
