*EDIT I haven't the slightest clue how but I think the board hiccupped  My last thread absolutely has vanished.

Me puttering over poses & pencils w/ Decepticon Dourjer, Metatisic. I don't know when he'll be done as I have a few other things in front of him at the moment.

Someone asked. Thunderwarp I think, so I’ll tell ya that drawing transformers, or just mecha in general is a lot like graphing building construction. Lots and lots of circles, squares, etc. lines. I wish there was a direct ‘Draw like a pro in 48 hours’ manual I could give, but there just isn’t one. Every mecha artist has their own approach. I haven’t met a one yet that does things exactly the same as the person before.

All I can offer is to just practice and bare in mind that you are always learning. There is no such thing as 'the end' here.

Ah the glorious Metalistic. One my my favorate fan made characters. He makes Megatron and Galvatron look like pretenders to the throne(even thou he is there father). He carries such a presance both in draw forma and in your fan-fiction storys.

Ha, ha .. his creator; not 'their'. There's only one, dear.

Thank you. I really do appreciate that. It’s a fact, it's a tedious operation for the hardcore public to buy into fan-created characters — always has been. Fans tend to expect great things from them; to stand out in the crowd, etc. Some have said that Metatisic’s strengths lie in the fact that he is 21 years old now. He has nostalgia. Well that’s great, but age & time doesn’t make a character ‘good’. You could be sitting around 100 .. 150 years and suck eggs. *lol*

I think it’s the simplicity. He didn’t need to be this trumpets blaring, mountains crumbling type looking robot with prongs sticking out everywhere like some over-ornate peacock in order to prove himself to the audience. He spoke his volume in personality & actions.

BTW, I've been in talks/arrangements for the last few months about actually publicating the story. I want to involve some more popular/favorite TF artists though at the sec, but we;ll see.

Metalistic's strenghs lie more in the fact that he's a great character. He is written well. You've also developed him more buy drawing him out. In that gives him depth, we can see him and read of his exploits. He has character. I would wager that you had him written out long before you had him drawn out. I'd also wager that the story lended to and defined his character artwork.

Well that's what I said. He spoke his volume in personality & actions -- or so I would certainly hope so. I wish I could answer your wagers but to be truthfully honest I just do not remember anymore if I tried to draw him first or later.
