Cooling Off: Sunstreaker sketch

This is a little Sunstreaker sketch I came up with. I wasn't really thinking much of a backstory at the time, but I get the feeling 'Streaker's been chewed out. Maybe he lashed out at one of the Autobots and Prime gave him a talking to. Whatever, he's obviously stormed off to have a bit of a fume. Looks like Sideswipe's coming down to check he's okay...

I'm not sure what I'm going to do about colours, but I can't help thinking my watercolour crayons could come in handy...

Great stuff. I am a fan of your stuff because you use so much "body language. This pic has no action but you can tell there is something going on. Not just TF's posing.

Thats a really nice pic, the detailing in the background is excellent too, the city in the distant background is a really nice touch.

Yeah, I've done my fair share "just TFs posing" pics, but I'm really trying to get myself away from it. The pics may look okay, but they don't really say anything about the character or their mood. I'm trying to do more storytelling with my art...

Again, something I'm trying to train myself into. Part of the appeal of doing JTFP pics is that it avoids the need for backgrounds, and again it doesn't do anything for storytelling. Since that's what I intend to do in the long run, I need to force myself to get into giving settings to my pics. Can't run away from them forever... :P

That is very nice, dude. And yeah, I prefer pictures where there is a lot of more "human" posturing, instead of just the action pics. I love Sunstreaker and this is great.

Ramrider,
that's a nice little sketch there. Sunstreaker is one of my favorites for sure. have you gotten around to coloring- oh wait, colouring it yet?

Thanks. Matter of fact, I haven't; aside from the fact that I'm mostly trying to get my Mosaic piece coloured at the moment, the original sketch (which as I said, I plan to try watercolouring) seems to have done a runner. I may have a go at colouring a printout, but it'll probably bleed too much. We'll see how it goes, though. If it looks okay, but does overbleed, I'll wait till the original turns up again and redo it. 8)
