Not finished yet. Just wanted to post a WIP and get a little feedback.



Photoshop image based on a quick sketch I did. Still have some work to do. Tighten it all up and such.

WOW! That is so soundwave, yet so much more. (if that makes sense)

We should've gotten you to whip Bay into shape during production and show him the real definition of updating.

You're a fan and you managed to come up with a design that is far superior than what Bay and his design team are paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to do.

That is Soundwave but it fits perfectly with this new movies approach. Very nice piece of artwork I only hope Bay and Co see it and learn a lesson on design.

That would befit the character whether it's his G1 boombox or Cybertron stealth Jet. Excellent work!

Added a lot more detail and reworked some of the earlier shapes. I also made the visor a tad thinner and changed the angles a little in order to make him more sinister. The visor color has also been changed to something a little more yellow/gold, like the original toy. I think it's a bit better than the garrish red. The eyes are also much clearer in this version. Again, I don't plan on doing any visorless and nonface plate versions, so I hope seeing the eyes through the visor is enough. Soundwave is a "I wear my unglasses at night" kind of character.

I may give this one more round of minor tweaks, but this it pretty much, I think.

Nice adjustment to the visor and its colour, I really like the fact you can see the inner workings behind the eyes. The level of detail on the whole head is amazing.

I love the little touches like the speakers behind the lower grills either side of the face plate. 10/10 for effort and style

No. Some of the tiny pointy pieces are from Blackout. That's it.
