First Transformer Artwork

I never had very many Transformers though I watched the cartoon and played as Transformers. I've created many superheroes but the concept of creating a Transformer scared me, until the movie that is an seeing the X Bow. So here is my first Transformers Character. Of course I took a few liberties in designing him.

That's pretty good for a 1st one. Way cool. Like you and a few others here, I too am a bit of an artist who has created lots of super-hero and villain characters, and I too have never tried to create a transformer as it always seemed too daunting. I've made robot characters that "transform", but never actually called them Autobots or Decepticons and they don't even look like standard transformers for that matter either. Your work here and some of the various other art I've seen has inspired me to finally try to make some real transformers of my own design that I hope to share on these boards someday soon. Great effort and thanks for the inspiration.

Darth_Paul you should definatly give it a try, I used the new 2008 Transformers calendar for some help in poses. Of course I bought 2 one to keep sealed. :D

After crash landing on Earth Omega Prime searched his vast database choosing a form instead of scanning for one. He chose the form of Optimus Prime from The War Within.

See my fanfiction Transformers: Rebellion for more of these Transformers.

Same, has that sideswipe feel.

Concept. That Omega Prime reminds me of a Nemesis and Ultra Magnus fusion..Now only if I could get ahold of either a UM or OP WW mold..

Wow it's been a long time since I've posted anything. I've always wanted to get this done and finally did, watching Season 2 of Transformers helped the motivation. With my fanfiction story I wanted to update and redo one of my favorite Transformers. After finding the perfect hover craft I got to doing him and here he is.

His design comes from this hover craft.

Seaspray looks great! It's familiar, I can tell it's Seaspray, but it's updated and different enough to stand on its own. Did you colour it using coloured pencil or marker?

The X Bow based Transformer is great too. I love how the front section of the vehicle mode becomes the shoulders but it doesn't bulge out like most designs tend to.
