Here's a movie-style Grimlock head I put together today in Photoshop.

I have to thank Jolin and Mit-Gas from DM.Net board. Alot of the original elements were parts from Soundwave designs they came up with. Using their pics as well as brand new elements created by yours truly, I came up with the image you see here. Had fun with this one. Hope you enjoy.
Thanks for taking a look and for any comments you might like to share.

Good photoshoping.
I strongly dislike the movie designs. they don't work on any level.

I think he looks like to much of a nice guy. I think of grimlock as the morals and intentions of prime with the temper and actions of megatron. Sharper more agrressive lines.
(leaves two pennies on the counter and walks away.)

Looking good. Two thoughts are that the edges need to be more defined, especially around the ocular visor, and the silver metal piece should be duller as the current brightness causes too much attention to it.

I'm becomming quite the fan of your work!
Could you talk a bit about the textures and elements that go into these heads? How much are bits that you made "from scratch", and how many, if any, are from photos and other sources? It almost looks like there are bits of bike helmet in there.

Most of the elements are from photos. A few elements that are made from scratch (either in photoshop or hand drawn and rendered illustrations and added to the photoshop image) in order to tie the pieces together into a coherent whole.

First Soundwave, now Grimlock. It's a pity those Bayformers don't have your visionary skills, or we might have a sense of satisfaction now.
Good work. Looking forward to your next project. Any chances of a Galvatron? Or a Shockwave?

Dude...you really got "The touch"! I mean...you keep the beast of older design and make them more modern! YOU should be desining the robot for the movie!

If the first one does well enough and they actually get the official go ahead for part two I could see them migrating to something closer to this. I understand why they went with what they have, though I do think something like this and similiar ones fans have made would have been better.

Beautiful work. Any chance you'd be doing the body?

I really like the head and it suits Grimlock well. It looks too good and too much like the original Grimlock to ever be used in a movie though.

Love it.
a little Sounwavey, but it's at least 100,000,000,000,000.9 times better than my attempts.
Great job.
