I've Slowly been working on a short comic for Myth Wars. So i chose MetalSamamon's design of Tengu Dinobot. I've only got 3 pages so far. I'll update when i finish more. And it's my first time with dialogue so it wont be the best.

Sweeeeeet! Just one complaint: Dinobot's head seems way to big in his introduction panel.

Great work.. just one thing, and I may be completely wrong here, I have no idea.. did the women really wear their kimonos that immodestly in feudal(?) Japan?

Perhaps, if her neckline were closed at first, then torn open to reveal her cleavage when one of the men grabs for her?

Yah, I agree, I mean for fan purposes it may be fine, but if aiming for some historical accuracy, I don't belive the women showed cleavage or skin at all. I have to recheck, but I also think that geishas didn't even do that as well.

Besides that little crit, everything else is fantastic.

Yes i know they didn't show their chest I did that on purpose. Also if we want to be 100% accurate her chest should be alot smaller as well. It was just there for that lust/sexy kinda of thing. I could always change it.

Dark_Lord_Prime- sure you can ink them. Do you need them in a bigger size. Or can you make them bigger after you ink them? Cause Limabean is gonna color them. So should i make the pics bigger before you ink them or can you make it bigger after you ink them?

yea for historical look change the neck line and let it be shown after it's ripped.

816x1055 should be plenty big. I can upscale 'em when I'm done, but that might distort them slightly. I don't think I've ever tried to scale any of my pics up before.. is that the dimensions you originally scanned 'em at?

Probably. You can still have the fan-service cleavage if you do what I suggested, though.. have her robe be torn open when that one guy grabs her there.

Im not sure what dimensions they are. When i go to photoshop the resolution is 96. Does that help at all? I can scan them a double their size and send them. Would they be to big then for you to ink?

96 is the DPI (dots-per-inch). The resolution is 816 pixels X 1055 pixels, which is actually pretty big. Lemme load one up in PS and see what I'm working with.

Well im trying to keep in mind for the colorist too. cause he needs it in a bigger size than what i posted it at. just let me know.

Heh...shin was kind of enough to PM me these drawings first; speaking that is my Dinobot design that he's using; but I must comment on it here as well!

I LOVE IT!!

Not just because of who it is; but also the actual art as well. It looks very profeesional; and well done.

Granted; it's not 100% accurate to old Japanese times, but this isn't a historical document; it's a comic. However, I agree that shin could do some minor mods like her clothing and perhaps a smaller 'bust'; but only slight changes; nothing drastic.

Maybe something like, "Myth Wars: Hero Reborn" or "Myth Wars: The Return of Dinobot"?

Personally I think you should have left the Kimono the way it was. I liked it .

Seriously, people, there is a robot wearing a cape and hat in feudal(ish) Japan. How realistic is that. I say Make this as pop culture as you want. And As Jeff Foxworthy said "slut her up just a little bit"

also who says the guy with the Pike didn't make her open her kimono to begin with.
