Fusion Mirage

I fancied having a go at doing some 'box-art' work for some of my Fusion figs, and decided to start with Mirage.
I've started by sketching out the image, now I want to try painting it...

it looks pritty good. One thing, the perspective on his forarms looks backwards. If you can see the cuff of his arms from that side the higher you go towards the elbow, the smaller it should get. Other than that I really like it.

The reason ywhy the forearms aren?t getting any smaller the further back is because they taper. The forearms are larger near the elbow and taper in towards the wrist. Even with foreshortening and perspective, there won?t be much loss in size difference except in the case of extreme fore-shortening.

"This figure was remolded from Energon Prowl" :P

Very detailed, I like it, I hope to see it in colors ^_^

Thanks, guys. I've started work on the painting now. I'm doing it in small stages, but what I've done so far is looking pretty good if I can say so myself.

Jim, Tramp's right about the arms. I was already taking foreshortening into account, but the forearms are much wider at the elbows than the wrists. As Destructor said, the fig is a mod from Energon Prowl (basically with a resculpted head and partial repaint).

I assume you mean when am I making the toy? In which case, I already have. There's a pic of him here (second image down, with Ironhide and Wheeljack). Although I've now also repainted his chest; I thought it would look better, and more Mirage-ish, to have it white rather than grey, so I did that.
