These are color and graphic variations of a drawing I did of
Classics Optimus Prime with a trailer. I plan on building this trailer in the relatively near future, and am trying to decide on the graphics for it. Below are 10 differnt variations of the graphics, please vote on which you think looks the best.
Version 1

Version 2

Version 3

Version 4

Version 5

Version 6

Version 7

Version 8

Version 9

Version 10

For some reason, no.1 really stands out. Good balance of colour maybe. Can't wait to see the end result, all those designs are pretty good!

I too like number 1 design but I think the blue should be a little darker like number 3. Gotta question though what scale trailer are you using for classics prime?

Actually, I haven’t even got one. I plan on scratch-building it, like I did for my custom Prime. I’m still in the early concept stages. I won’t be able to start construction until I get some money in my pocket for the two projects I am currently working on for my current clients. I’m not sure how I will do the battle platform mode yet either.

I agree with Auceps Prime. #1 with the darker blue would look real clean. 5, 6, and 7 are all nice to though.

I preffer 2 to 1, but 3 is my favorite.

One thing I suggest is to give it original features. Don't just make it an updated version of the G1 trailer. Have some fun with it. Maybe make it more of a weapons platform. Similar to what was done with MW Prime.
You gotta make roller, though.

You mean “Optimus Crime”? I actually have that toy.
How far from the G1 design I will go, hasn’t been decided yet. I don’t want to get too complicated like I did with my custom Prime’s trailer, because that can result in a more fragile model. But, at the same time, I don’t want to go too simplified either. I do want this to have plenty of firepower as well as all the other “amenities” a mobile command center would need.
You gotta make roller, though.

That goes without saying. Whether it will just be a “roller” car or a transforming drone like I did with my
Transformers: Omega Optimus Prime custom, I haven’t decided.

Are we talking executive ensuite, walk-in wardrobe and hotel-grade minibar here....?

i like #5 with a few modifications. im going with a modified g2 trailer. in which may i suggest that the trailer should have a "reffer" (refrigeration unit) on it, giving the rounded look to the trailer to match the cab.

ROFLMAO
No, I’m talking about computer and communications stations, repair bays, grappling arms, etc…

How about some bigass guns attached to arms for prime to hold?

Tramp, you do some stunning work! I love each of the trailers, it was hard for me to pick a favorite.
I'm working on a Prime trailer too, nothing as good as what you could crank out I'm sure. Would you be terribly upset if I used one of the color schemes you designed for my Prime trailer? What you've come up with is much better than what I have planned.

Be my guest. Which one is your favorite?

Thanks, and heh, silly me. I forgot to mention that the first one is my favorite.

I Voted for three, but also like seven a whole lot. Seven would have gotten my vote if the autobot symbol was in the upper left corner instead (same size though). I really like that dark blue. MUUUUCHHHHH more than the light blue used in one. The light blue is just too unrelated to any other color used on Prime himself (after all, its not the G2 reissue)

Just to be different, I'm really fancying numbers 9 and 10.
Number 9 fits in better with the colourscheme of the truck, but I think I actually prefer the inverted version, number 10.

I picked #5, since the whole thing, both shape and color, flow with the cab the best. The red and silver stripes line up, and there's blue below.
I do think the bend at the end of #5 could be brought farther back, not just to be a closer homage, but because it leaves a lot of empty space back there.
I dislike the light blue in 1 & 2, but the pattern is almost nicer than 3 & 4.
I like (3, 4, 6,) 8 & 10 as well, even though they don't perfectly line up. I prefer the red over the blue.
8 is like an aligned-perpendicular-to-the-trailer version of 5, although 10 seems to accidentally (probably on purpose, actually) line it up better with the cab. (it even has a grey stripe along the hinge)
Maybe if there were something between 8 & 10 that had [the end closer to the cab] more like 10, but bent and left some grey space at the back like 8.
Do you mind if I edit a couple to show you? hmmm... a blank trailer would be useful for that. ;>

Actually, on pics 3-8, the detailing continues up onto the roof, just like it does on the cab, forming a bit of a wide “V”.
as for a Master sheet, I do have one I could E-mail you.

I finally got around to looking for this thread. There are several nice ones, but I like #5 the best. Sure, its not as traditional in the color palet, but it flows with the cab SO well. It follows the same aethetic that I used for the reprolabels set for my Armorhide trailer. I'd sure appreciate it if you would allow me to see the master sheet for that particular one

PM me your E-mail address, and I can send you copies. Or, are you talking about a label sheet. If that is what you are talking about, I plan
painting one of these patterns on the trailer, not use labels.

I like Concept 5 BUT I'd like it more if the lower half of the trailer (under the red stripe) was Blue instead of gray, just my preference.
