So for about seven or so years now, I've been working on a comic idea in my spare time, the characters have gone through numerous design changes over the years, but here's the gist of the story.

An alternate universe telling of the Transformers war, the purpose, to obtain the matrix from both sides (The decepticons have one too) and merge them together to activate the dormant spark of Primus so he can once again battle his nemesis, Unicron.
The Matrix can't be used by everyone, as in G1 where it didn't do anything to or for Magnus, only certain robots are able to access the matrix's powers.

Shockwave and Alpha Trion start off holding the matrix for their sides, Alpha Trion gets damaged and hands it to a lowly soldier who is reformatted into Optimus Prime. Shockwave, after decades of tinkering with the matrix, modding his own body to be more receptive to it's power, hits a wall in his research and can go no further, so he constructs the perfect robot who can completely fuse with the Matrix, this results in Megatron.

That's just a little bit of it, it's a lot more drawn out an there's some great backstory written into many old favourite characters. (Just wait 'til Soundwave's true purpose is revealed)
There's also a whole intro featuring Cybertron at it's beginning, the creation of the first Transformer, and an early attack on the planet by an incomplete Unicron... Watch this space for any updates, and feel free to comment on the images as I post them.

Without Further Ado, Issue 1 cover, pencils.
