I dig Grimlock...it's such a drastic change from tradition, but it actually works.

I really like Grimlock - the idea of getting rid of the humanoid mode is cool. Send it the the writers of the movies - they were trying to think of a good way to include the dinobots!
You should post this
here. Just post a link to this thread, no need to add all the pics!

Very nice stuff.
My faves are Swindle and Bluestreak. Grimlock is a very original interpretation....and it appeals to me....so kuddos! If anything however I would play around with the color scheme.
Hey, would you do your own interpretation of Devastator? I'm just curious what most artist here would have interpreted this character to be.
Hope to see more!

I posted these in another thread, but this seems to be getting more traffic so I'll just keep adding stuff here.

BTW, thanks all for the positive comments; my head is getting big.
Hauler's vehicle selection was in honor of my Dad's current restoration project of a '66 Chevy

This is AstroTrain; I really like this one. I didn't work on a shuttle mode, but it isn't that hard for me to imagine the rear car re-configuring intoa wings/rocket mode. The file size is just a little to big to attach here so I linked the Myspace page that I put it on.

I'm looking at these for the first time in a while after not having seen them for a while. I feel like I can look at them more objectively.
Really happy with.....
Ultra Magnus
Hot Rod
Smokescreen
Swindle
Trailbreaker
Skywarp
Astrotrain
Hauler
Only slightly less happy with...
Blurr
Shockwave
Bluestreak
Thundercracker
Springer
Mirage
Huffer
Grimlock
Gears
Brawn
Wheeljack
Kinda happy with...
Prowl
Kup
Sunstreaker
Onslaught
Cliff Jumper
Quite UNhappy with....
Hound
Windcharger
I think I'm gonna start working on a team of fan-characters now.

I LOVE all of them, but the sedan bots' (Prowl and the like) heads look to G1. Break their heads up more.

I'm REALLY liking that Grimlock. And I'm curious about how feasible the Springer design might be.

Well, the size of that chopper matches up with a regular car quite well (it is actually lighter than the Vue); the shape of the sheet metal are quite different so there might end up being a really extraordinary number of components to the transformation.
