Hi, I've been coming to these boards quite a bit ever since the first movie came out and I decided recently to put up some of my Transformers artwork up. I have a deviantart page too:

I have more on the way (Grimlock, Onslaught, maybe Shockwave and Soundwave). Any suggestions for other robots are welcome if you got any.

I luv your interpretations. Cyclonus is my fav by far. Especially with Skids decapitated head ha ha ha. I also took a peak at your Deviant art page and saw your Grimlock concept, its funny cause I'm working on one of my own. Your's seems to be heading in an interesting direction however. Kuddos.

I hope to see more of your work and more interpretations. Maybe Hot Rod? Or even do your own take on Devastator.....being what we got in the film, I'm more then open to other interpretations.

Laters,
Josh

P.S. I have a rough penciled version of Movie Unicron in my own album, take a gander and tell me what you think ja?

Thanks a lot.

At one point I was considering a Devastator before ROTF, but I don't feel like it anymore after the movie came out. Especially after seeking his "wrecking balls" even though none of the 7 constructions had wrecking balls.

Hot Rod sounds good. He will take some time to think about.

By the way, where is your drawings? I tried looking for a link in your profile.

I like this stuff, I need to get on the 'computer coloring boat' It's really funny , although we didn't use the same alt. mode; both our Brawn's have very similar builds/characteristics. Take a look at my stuff if you haven't already; it's in a different topic--'new drawings'.

I have a thread in the fan art album, with my name on the Title. Joshua Vallse. But just to cut out the middle link....try here!

viewtopic.php?f=145&t=55928

It's a little after all the Voltron art and before the Destronicus Production Pics.
Ah yes....the wrecking balls. Well I would like to see your take on a combiner...a true combiner not what we were force fed in ROTF. Maybe Bruticus? Or Menasor? Just some thoughts. Again good work....hope to see more.

Josh

Update: Springer

Update: Autobot Springer as a V22 Osprey. My attempt at an improvement over the ugly little toy.

I like your springer; mine was way different; I stuck with the triple-changer idea and thusly had to find a really small helicopter to match up with the size of his car mode.

And updated Cyclonus from my older drawing:

I dig Brawn, and I like the direction you took Cyclonus, but I dunno-- I'd have made him more futuristic... I think mayhaps the SU-47 Berkut might've been a better fit, but you made it work and it looks good.

Wish I could get on the "coloring my drawings" train. What program do you use and how is it done?

I'm an old timer, I use a pencil and paper and that's it...

Thanks. Photoshop 7.0. A few of them I sketched and scanned first for a template.

Haha thanks! Let's just hope he doesn't want people to do more "dick" bots.

It took me a lot of thinking before sketching up and drawing up Hot Rod since he's a well known character. I spent a lot of time thinking about his car mode too. At some points I was considering Corvette Z06 (before ROTF came out), Cadillac XLR, Dodge Viper GTSR, but a Ford GT40 seemed the most Hotrod-ish to me. It had a good shape to it and screamed growling power from it's looks. If I'm not mistaken there's a Alternator version that's the same match.

While Hot Rod looks great(Like everythign in this thread), my nostalgia is telling me he needs three barreled exhaust cannons. But dont listen to it. Its always ruining things for me.

Yeah, I was actually thinking the same thing while I was sketching Hot Rod. When I look at the GT40, it has dual large exhaust pipes. Changing it to dual 3 pipes looks a little weird, but I might think differently in the future...

I like the Brawn one, it feels like it can be done in Bayverse.

Hey,
The concept art you have all looks great. I really like the Unicron and would love to see the Dinobots, but it would be hard to be "Robots in Descise" using the Dinobots as the concept art shows, but we can hope.
