My original TF's, opinions wanted

Here are a few one-off TF's I sketched. I was more focused on what their design was, what features I wanted them to have and what I wanted them to look like.

These are a few of the concepts I ever actually got around to actually finishing.

oh, and there's one redesign of Hot Rod in there. I redid him using the Corvette Supercar concept from the 80's (the mid-engined one)... seemed like the only choice for Hot Rod. He NEEDS at least 8 cylinders.

Image
This is the car I based my Hot-Rod on.

Image
(Points if you can guess whose boxart I modeled this after!)

You may have noticed I'm a bit of a Thunderbird fan.

Switchback was the first one, he's a 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT, and my personal favorite-- though I no longer have the car on which I based him.
Switchback was supposed to be friendly and outgoing with a positive attitude and outlook, though he's a bit egotistical like TFA Bumblebee is, but more toned down-- more mature, but confident.
Outfitted with a single machine gun.

Image
First one's a plane I originally designed for use as a YF-26 Valkyrie fighter.

This is the RF-31 Long Range Fighter Valkyrie I came up with, there's a lengthy backstory on it and full specs on macrossworld.
Valkyries are transformers in their own right-- we do have G1 Jetfire, afterall, and they DO transform from vehicle to robot and back ;)

Feedback is much appreciated!!

Thanks, I appreciate the compliments... I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of head to give the movie Thunderbird I keep trying to draw.

Gimme a link to a page of thunderbird and I could probably help with the head.

I never really cared for headlight-boobs, but your designs are solid, and highbeam-pectorals have been around since g1, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

I love the jet designs.

Okay, here's pictures.

It's my car, but I'm going to be putting the nose off of a Nascar racer onto the street-going car.
Consider it car kitbashing ;)

@Lorekeeper

yeah, the headlight boobs are kind of a TF tradition...
How about the taillight chest blue car, "Driftstorm?"
Thanks for pointing it out though, I think I'm going to take that into consideration on the next one.

I've got more clever jet designs. The trick with these was that they were designed as Valkyries and had to have a "Gerwalk" mode.

Designing a triplechanger is HARD!
I'm very fastidious when designing stuff- it has to be able to work-- if I built a toy based on the drawing, it'd be able to transform without extra bits of kibble... well, save for maybe a gun or something.

I particularly like the RF31, possibly because the drawing is more 'finished'. The shading gives it much better depth and realism. I also like the red robot, I suppose the colour makes it easier to understand the picture as the designs are very detailed and complex. How about colouring the other ones for us?
