A rather Sketchy guy

Ah, It's been a while since I've visited Seibertron, so I figured I might as well post some artwork. Like pretty much anything I get into, I design some new stuff for the series in mind.

A couple of years ago (I believe) I posted an image of an OC I made called "Triclonia".

Image

Originally, she was to be a V-22 alt-mod Decepticon with a preference for close combat, but nowadays she's gotten a different design:

Image

Now, rather than being a melee master, she is an "Assault Transport". She carries an impressive array of weaponry within her *ahem* "Storage compartments". From tazers to swords to bazookas, she's probably got that in there somewhere. However, she has to shed some of her arsenal if she's ever used for a transport mission.

Her story has changed, also. (Skip the quote for more art info)

While originally written as a Starscream stooge, she's now the leader of a group called the "Turbo-Prop Sisters" a group who specializes in retrieving items when lots of firepower is needed. Her sisters, Diana (A Chinook Decepticon) and Monica (An Alpha-Jet Decepticon) act as the main carrier and point-defense units on their missions.

Triclonia is the most seductive of the three and has a very strong personality. She is proud of the fact that she retains a feminine look despite her size (Easily rivaling that of Megatron) which can cause many an awkward moment ("Aww, whassa matter, little man? Don't like big girls?")

She is quite competent, if a little trigger-happy, and is the face of the group. However, her size combined with a low top-speed and little armor makes her a bit fragile, so she's only best for fast grab-and-run deployments.

Granted this is just a sketch and I have little experience drawing robots, but I could probably use this as a guide if I ever make a request from a better artist to draw her and I plan on doing a few more of my designs and plot-points. I really want to try learning the Transformers: Animated style. I have some ideas, as well:

Diana (Chinook) and Monica (Alphajet)
"Momma" Tetra (C-130), the real leader of the group.
Chromia (Duh) and Thunderblast (Her crazed twin sister), Animated style.
The LOCI (pronounced "Loki", Linean Option Changeable Interceptor) A human-built, transforming plane McGuffin based on Starscream that would make a human cast member not useless.

I definitely like the way she looks. However, the heel struts don't work perfectly for the design. Not bashing, just stating. But for the most part it's a great design and I can't wait to see the others.

Nice job with the cockpit placment as well, that works.

Eh, she's supposed to be the sexy one of the three, so I figured heel struts would fit the image she was trying to create for herself. Do you have any other ideas?

As for the cockpit, it's actually at about a 20 degree off of the body rather than straight down to get that kind of shape (Rather than a muscular chest sort of thing by putting it straight down) without taking liberties on the alt-mode design.

Thanks for the comments!

Well, maybe using rotors as 'hair'? Or jet engines. Also, I don't think the Chinook would be so big. Chromia and Thunderblast would be seaplanes. If these are all aircraft fembots. Also, is LOCI a fembot too? Also, a skycrane would be interesting to see.

LOCI stands for "Long-range Operation Changeable Interceptor". It's a weapon developed by mankind to fight against the Decepticons. It's a transforming plane based on the seeker-plane design and piloted by a human being. Being a mere manmade creation, it has no gender. I designed it to be a MucGuffin that doesn't suck.

The design I had in mind for Chromia and Thunderblast is that of identical twin "sisters"(It's rather complicated), one Autobot one Decepticon. Both desire a change from their usual alt modes (a streamlined car) upon reaching Earth ... and ironically both pick the same alt-mode: a boat. Since I'd planned several of these ideas for the Animated universe, a Transformer that can float would be useful for both sides due to the presence of the Great Lakes. They would be useful for a quick, in-story pair of repaint figures.

...I should probably start drawing stuff again...

And here's an update!

First off, a basic design sketch for how Chromia/Thunderblast would work. I wanted to do a boat that wasn't a Shellformer, so I made the bow of the boat become her feet, as a tough femmebot like Chromia probably wouldn't be much into heel-struts (It also gives her nice big feet for stability). In retrospect, I think it also ought to have a bit of a fold-over like Sentinel Prime has for the feet.

The rest of the hull forms a pair of folded "wings" behind her back. The wood-paneled deck would form her chestplate and her rear skirt. The main differences would be that Chromia has a regular expression while Thunderblast would have somewhere between a Starscream Smirk and a Higurashi face for her expression (she is so crazy she makes Blitzwing look stable). Thunderblast would also have a heftier weapon which can double as a jet-pack.

And for added fun, the first fanart of Lickety-Split!!

Me likey. Oh, can you make thunderblast's head similar to an asari's head form mass effect? I think it'd work if the spiky-things from her original head were emotive, flayed out when angry, flattened when nervous, that sort of a thing.

But I need to take pages from you for animated designs, mine stink.
