Freedom Is The Right Of All Sentient Beings

After lots of procrastination i finally cracked and decided to finish the sketch and ink this peice.

Image

So basically i did an homage to Prime in his battle scene during the original movie hence why i named it "the touch". I used my MP Prime as my main referance as well because i wanted to pay tribute to what is possibly the best toy ever made IMO as well.

The inks are still "dirty" as i havnt cleaned them up yet, you can still see some old sketch marks here and there and a few dirt makrs from the scanner.

I dont actually know if i can color this one though. I have never drawn a pic with so much detail before and i dont know how to color metal and make it look shiney and...well metallic.

So if any of you kind, talented colorists out there would like to color this for me then please be my guest and i will be very grateful. If not, can someone please PM me regarding coloring this piece and maybe we can come to a sort of art trade deal?

This is what i think some of my best work and i am really proud of it and would love to see it colored.

(also if you want to color it please PM me and i will send you a higher res version as this is obviously shrunk down for size purposes)

Just the outline? That can be done, but if you mean thicken up all the lines on prime, like the small detailing on him then i cant do that otherwise i'll lose the detail. I used three different thicknesses of pen on this and on the small details on prime i used the smallest ya see. But i think i know what you mean so i might do that.

I think he means to selectively choose lines to add weight to. It will separate the elements of the drawing and add impact.

Breast?! You pervert! :P I knew it was busy, that was the idea. Color will fix that if i can ever find someone to color it for me or if i can figure out how to color it myself.

Although what though?

Ahh yes that makes so much difference, i didnt know you colored?
And thanks man, i didnt get to see what happened as he deleted the thread before i had a chance to read his final reply.
I did see the edited sig though, did you do that are him?

I just didnt like his "do it now because i demand it and thats all that matters" attitude. I hate moderators who think they are high all mighty and have all this "power" when really all they do is run a small internet forum.

But anywho, guess its all done with now. Hope he wasnt too harsh on you.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I meant mostly to thicken the lines that make up Prime's outline. He wll stand out more. It's a technique called line weighting. Actually check out some of GrimSqueakers stuff, he's pretty good at it. You'll see that the line work has different thicknesses.

He had a sig up which kinda spoiled the movie, and the mods wanted it removed, a certain one in particular wasnt willing to give him a chance to come back online and wanted everything done when he wanted it, despite the fact that grim was offline and there was a 5 or 8 hour time difference between the two.

I dunno what happened after that, whether or not the mod did something to Grim i dont know...like another warning or something.

I gave a shot at coloring your Prime in Photoshop. I just gave it a black background for now because my eyes are starting to bleed. :D . I'll probably try to do your original background over the next couple of days.

It did not spoile the Movie!

All it spoiled was that Prime survies!
Big deal

Whey hey!!! Thats brilliant, but would you rather use a higher res version of the pic to color instead of this crappy version that i uploaded to image shack so you can see the detail a bit better?

Plus that would work better for me as well because once this is colored i was going to have it printed and framed.

Its awesome though, alot better than what i could have done, i just wish i had uploaded a higher res version of the inks now.
