TF - Silverrose (Commission for Silverrose)

Let’s release this in honor of the Transformers Movie that debut in theater as of yesterday. I have my doubts that it’ll live up to the three years worth of hype pressing down on it but, hey ... I just might be surprised. I still say the character designs look hideous, but that fact might take a back seat to a good story and awesome action. *shrugs* We’ll soon see.

Art of Silverrose’s OC femcon seeker, Silverrose. ‘Rose, I really enjoyed working this particular piece. I’m just sorry you had to wait longer than usual for it. : / .. I need about 8 of me. I’ve been saying that for years I think. ^^;

(Mixed mediums; a combination of traditional and digital.)

Nice work, i like the way it's not too feminine to make it un-seeker like.

Fabulous work as aways Shinju. I really like the look and the overall feel to it.

When you say mixed mediums and combination of traditional and digital...

What do you use for traditional medium?

Berol Prismacolor (in both watercolor & oil pencil) Been using those for years. That and Copic markers & muliliners.

First post. Yay me.

Anyways, very nice indeed. I must say though that the bloom on the picture (the over-saturation and lighting blowout) is a bit much around the arm - the effect itself is becoming very common these days, although it works here. Although I do find it odd that as a lightsource, it fails to affect the shadows that she casts ;) The background is passable, but it's the border that really lets the picture down - although I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you can do much better next time :P

But otherwise, very nice indeed. As someone previously said, a very nice way of making a 'con that's both Seeker and feminine, without having to sacrifice a part of either of them.

I honor your personal opinion, but as I said before with a commission it's not my opinion that matters. It's how the buyer wanted it to be and I do as I'm asked. If it was for me , myself, & I it might be a whole 'nother story. Thanks anyways though.

Fair enough. I know from personal experience that what you want and what the client want are often two very, very different things :P But it's still an impressive piece of art. Mayhaps you would want to do your own version, free from demands from interferring clients? ;)

No. Not when it's her personal character. Silverrose is hers, not mine
