Hey all -

Been a while since I posted any TF art here, I know. Over a year to two years ago I reached a point where I basically 'burned myself out' on TF stuff - I was unable to finish projects I had committed to, among other things, and I grew dissatisfied with what I had here - so I focused on developing characters of my own as part of a 'world' I've been working on the interim. The last few months I've gotten back into the TF swing.

Yeah, that version of Devcon is the unused Botcon remold of Slugslinger from Energon. Lately there's been a lot of unused TF concepts that I hate see having gone to waste - this is one of those cases where I decided to "recycle".

In addition to TF stuff, with regards to stuff relating to my own characters/universe, I came up with an element to that which satirizes Transformers and all their shape-changing robotic kin (in keeping with the fact that much of this universe of characters I created pokes fun at various elements of society, pop culture, etc.). These guys aren't really meant to be a focal point, just some transforming-robot characters who would pop up from time to time (assuming I can ever get this whole thing into any kind of perodical form).

So far, though, I've only made any progress on the heroic faction of the robots. This is who I created thus far.

Cool stuff. Really like the Soundwave and the one who appears to be a space shuttle I assume.

Yes, I really enjoy the space shuttle one as well as the helicopter fem. maybe rename her, though (Red Weaver).

Actually, I DID name her Red Weaver originally, but when I started whittling down the concept of the whole group I decided to give them surnames that denoted their color, almost like it was part of decoration of rank or vocation or something (like the old Star Trek uniforms). The leader always has silver plating installed over his/her armor when they're appointed leader to further distinguish him/her from the rest of the team.

Not really. As I said, these couple characters were ones I conjured up with the intent of spoofing the whole 'giant transforming mech' genre. I still have the pencil sketch of her leader - who turns into a four-headed dragon - buried somewhere in my bookbag; hopefully I'll get around to finishing that soon. There's also lineart derived from a previous unfinished TF project that I'm "recycling" to fill out the roster of bad guys on this one.

Megatron reformatted as a big-rig - you'll note there's a bit of Powermaster Optimus in there, though I kind of thought of Megs' alt as being a single component (a la Motormaster or Titanium G1 Ultra Magnus)

Great work! I love the cross-over ideas, it keeps things fresh. I especially loved Prime and the Emperor from SW. It has a great feel. Makes me wish I could've seen the whole battle. The BTTF work is great too. Nice job!

Thanks, I tried to go for a scope-like element on top like the modified rifle Doc used against Buford's gang earlier in the movie. Incidentally, I made the head resemble Doc's thought-reading helmet from the first film (a bit of whimsical touch which I thought better suited the BTTF universe than it does SW).

The Devcon pic looks great, as does the Elita-1 concept. Do you have an alt mode pic?
