HiddenElephant Draws Something

Well, as my first ever post on this site, or any transformer forums, despite being a life-long fan, I have no idea what to say, other than my creativity knows now bounds! My artwork, however, does! I'm working on that issue. Still, as a relatively youthful person (cite: younger than you), I did have a dream of designing toys for Hasbro. Chance of that happening: 1%. Still, my mind runs on imagination, and I draw! Lots! And, somewhere, among all the crap I come up with, there are a few transformers pictures. Not really fan-art. I don't do fan art. I add on, not rehash. Well, sometimes, I say as I'm designing a plant-based transformer. Still, I will show you 2 pictures I have drawn, and given good memory, more! Or, y'know, I'll put a link to my DeviantArt in my signature, provided right button. Still. Both of these are Toy Designs.

First up is a dragon-fly roboto. What with Hasbro going back to a more simple design plan with its toys, I thought I'd try my hand at that. And thus born was a double-hinge with a swivel in the middle for a waist. I said I tried, right?

Next is the thing I'm sure we've all dreamed about: Shooting Michael Bay. Okay, I'm kidding. He makes Hasbro a lot of money. In all actuality, a Snake Transformer! I'm sure someone's done it before, and I'll tell you, it's hard as heck to make a toy out of a wurm. Thus, way too many diagram, and no beast mode picture. Still, this was my first one. Ever. Hey, at least I dared. And it only has one central hinge.

That Dragonfy is an awesome little setch. Someone could easily run with that if they had the resources. Double waist hinges, I worry about him flopping over due o weight, but its a good solid concept drawingI see lots of Cohrada and a bit of Nightviper in the snake dude, although I'm not enirely sure where the torso and legs are supposed to go away in beast mode?

I'll admit, the legs were a bit of a trick on the snake, but it's an idea I've had bouncing around in my head for a long while. The Torso is actually just 2 plates, buffed up by whatever length of the snake is needed on either side of the core. The legs are thin thighs hiding underneath curved panels, which serve as the shin, lower leg, and foot. Not ideal, I know, but a snake is not an ideal alternate form.

As for that hinge on Dragonfly, I imagine a tight enough joint, with some psuedo-racheting, would perform well enough.
